essie TLC Line

Back in February essie released a new line of nail care products called the TLC Collection, this stands for Treat Love & Color. They started this line with three sheer polishes that were made to not only care for your nails but to also have color so you weren’t just wearing a clear coat of polish. It was an ingenious idea really, I mean who wants plain nails anyways? Not only were these polishes gorgeous but they also helped my nails tremendously in the care department! I had problems with chipping and breakage especially on my pointer finger and using these polishes helped me to stop those issues. This is why I was ecstatic when I learned that essie was expanding the line and adding four new creme polishes! I recently received these polishes in the mail from essie and wanted to share them with you all. These are great for those of you who are also having problems with chipping and peeling and are looking for an easy and pretty way to help solve these problems!

First up is ‘In A Blush’, a lovely ivory rose. This polish can be worn year round and has an amazing formula. It took me two coats to get this ivory rose looking how I wanted and it went on as smooth as butter. This one is a must from this collection!

 

Next we have ‘Pink To Perfection’, an idealized carnation pink. This is the prettiest light pink and took only two coats to reach full opacity. This polish is perfect for Summer and Spring and adds just a touch of color to the nail.

 

‘Good Lighting’ is a bright caramel cafe au lait. This is the perfect nude and can be paired with just about anything. This is good if you don’t want a really noticeable nail and are in the mood for a neutral toned polish. It took me two coats to reach the color shown above.

 

Last is ‘On The Mauve’, a soothing mocha mauve. This was my favorite from the collection as I am a big fan of polishes like this for the Fall. This reminded me of some of my favorite shades, ‘Smokin Hot’ and ‘Merino Cool’ and I can’t wait to add it into my polish line up this Fall! I did use three coats of polish on this one because I wanted to make the color darker, however two coats would have been just fine.

If I had to pick which two I would take and what ones I would leave, ‘On The Mauve’ and ‘In A Blush’ would definitley be the ones that I would pick to keep! These two spoke to me more than the others, however they were all pretty colors and each one had the same great formula. The one thing that I love most about these polishes is the thicker brush that they come with that helps to make application a breeze. One tip if you do decide to purchase any of these is that not only can you wear these polishes alone but also as a base coat! I almost always use these as a base under my manicure and it has helped me to make my nails stronger than ever!
