Favorite essie Polish For Fall 2017

I decided to round up some of my favorite polishes for fall 2017. Fall is my favorite time of year and I always look forward to dark polishes and autumn nail art. I picked six Gel Couture polishes and six polishes from the regular essie line to showcase for the upcoming season. These are the polishes that I feel I’m going to use the most in the coming months and ones that you should get now if you don’t already have them! First up we have six of my fall favorites from the regular essie line.

From left to right: ‘Exposed’, ‘Partner In Crime’, ‘Playing Koi’, ‘Ready To Boa’, ‘Leggy Legend’, and ‘Tribal Text-Styles’.

My first pick is ‘Exposed’, this mossy green is my favorite type of polish to wear during autumn as I am all about army green. My normal go to army green polish is ‘Sew Psyched’ but when essie came out with this beauty in the Wild Nudes Collection I instantly new it would be on repeat all fall.

My next fall go to is ‘Partner In Crime’, a rich dark chocolate. When this one first came out I thought it was truly ugly and that I would never wear it but little did I know that it would look so good on the nail and become a personal favorite. This chocolate brown has a fantastic formula and looks stylish but subdued.

‘Playing Koi’ is a flirtatious orange rust from the Fall Collection last year. I’m still all about this polish and burnt orange nails are on trend again for the fall ’17 season. This one is definitley a show stopper and you will be getting asked your polish color left and right by those admiring its unique hue.

‘Leggy Legend’ is an alloyed bronze bombshell. When this one originally came out I was unsure of the color and whether or not I would truly wear it but this has become a fall staple because of its uncommon coloring and shine. This ones formula is similar to ‘Apres-Chic’ for those of you who own that one and although it is a metallic it doesn’t leave streaks on your nail like some other metallics do.

My last fall pick from the regular essie line is ‘Tribal Text-Styles’, a black gold and crusted onyx. This one was originally released in the 2016 Summer Collection and is a polish that I feel you can wear year round, however it specifically speaks to me during the cooler months as it goes with my darker toned outfits.

Next we have six of my favorite Gel Couture polishes for fall.

From left to right: ‘Pearls Of Wisdom’, ‘Turn N’ Pose’, ‘Hang Up The Heels’, ‘Wrap Party’, ‘Model Clicks’, and ‘Beau-Tie’.

The first GC I picked is ‘Pearls Of Wisdom’, a lustrous mulberry pearl. This one goes on like a dream and has a gorgeous sheen that makes this one a beauty to look at. Even though this isn’t a typical nude polish I would definitley classify this one as more of a Fall neutral that can go with a lot of different looks.

‘Turn N Pose’ is a dramatic deep plum that is sure to please. I wore this one all fall/winter last year and I will be repeating that trend again this year. For some reason I just can’t get enough of this one!

‘Hang Up The Heels’ is a jet black accessorized with jade shimmer. This one doesn’t look like it would be anything amazing in the bottle but once you get it on your nail and see the multi-dimension in the polish you will surely change your tune! This is probably in my top five favorite Gel Coutures from their entire line so far!

My next pick is ‘Wrap Party’, an inky and mysterious midnight green. This one should definitley be a staple in everyone’s personal collection! The formula is outstanding and this one truly looks like a dark green on the nail not a black like some deeper toned greens sometimes do.

Next is ‘Model Clicks’, a fashionable aubergine wine. For those of you who love burgundy polishes this one is right up your alley! This is what I would call a classic fall polish so for those of you who don’t want to go outside the box and want to stay with a classic nail during autumn then this is the polish for you.

Last is ‘Beau-Tie’, a rich, black amethyst. This one was just recently released in the Gala Bolds Collection and I have become obsessed. The other day I was scanning my wall and nothing was sticking out as a polish that I wanted to wear but then I saw this one and knew that I had to have it on my nails ASAP. I have been obsessed with it since and have re-painted my nails this deep purple three times already because I just can’t get enough.

I hope you enjoyed my round up of my favorite essie polishes for fall! What are some of your favorites? Do you prefer the original essie line or are you a fan of the Gel Coutures as well? Let me know on Instagram your thoughts and what will be on your nails this season!

  1. Your picks are spot on! I’m definitely wearing Playing Koi and Ready to Boa again this fall, and I will be wearing Exposed for sure!

I have both Partner in Crime and Leggy Legend and I am going to do Kindra’s mani combo with them…layering on Leggy Legend on top of Partner in Crime and then mattifying it!

I’m also planning on getting Pearls of Wisdom and Wrap Party – although the latter seems harder to find and I will probably have to Amazon or Ebay it! I plan on wearing Wrap Party for the holidays too…maybe with some gold glitter??

And I just bought Model Clicks and I’m so obsessed with it already without having worn it yet…I had a dream about swatching it! Haha :p
