I have been really into skincare recently as this New England Winter has been brutal on my face. I have been trying out a lot of different products and I wanted to share some that I am loving and that I will definitely be repurchasing when I run out! Below is a roundup of some of my current favorite products!
Summer Fridays R+R Mask – Summer Fridays has become a popular brand due to their tube packaging, cute names, and amazing formulas. I ordered the R+R mask after seeing rave reviews for it and it has not let me down! This product is filled with antioxidant rich oils that make my skin feel rejuvenated and leaves me with a fresh rose smell.
Origins GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser – I have been wanting to try Origins for quite some time and I finally pulled the trigger and got the ginzing cleanser. I had been looking for a face wash that had an exfoliant in it as my skin gets super dry in the winter and what I was currently using wasn’t getting the job done. I was blown away with the amazing citrus smell and like that the exfoliant is not too rough for my skin.
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream – Kiehl’s has been a staple in the skincare world for some time and their ultra facial cream is something that I had always heard about but had yet to try. I picked it up when I was in NYC a few weeks ago and so far I have been very pleased with it. Kiehl’s describes it as a light-weight moisturizer that deeply hydrates and protects skin and so far it has done just that! I love that it doesn’t feel oily on my skin and it never looks greasy after use. Kiehl’s also just reformulated this cream to make it paraben free so that is a big win in my book!
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask – This is a product that I kept seeing pop up all over Instagram and was super excited when my Sephora finally had it in stock. Laneige markets this as a sleeping lip mask but I use this all day long. I love it so much I actually have the berry mask at home and the vanilla one at work so that I am never without it!
Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate – This night time facial oil was recently given to me as a gift and I am so glad that I have found it and put it into my nightly routine. My skin is visibly more radiant and super soft in the morning. The lavender essential oils in this concentrate help it to smell amazing and are calming right before bed.
Laneige Water Sleeping Mask – Since moving back up North my skin has been trying to readjust to brutal winters and I have been trying everything to keep it as hydrated as possible. The texture of this mask is what immediately drew me to it as it is bouncy and has a cooling feeling when applied to the skin. This has become something I use in my morning routine as I like how it makes my skin feel nourished and refreshed.
Alder New York Everyday Face Cleanser – I received a free sample of this cleanser but had never heard of the brand before so I was unsure of what the outcome would be. I was quickly pleased with how it foamed on my skin and that it really helped to lessen my adult acne (yes I still get flare up’s from time to time). When the sample ran out I bought a large bottle and will continue to get refills as this has become a necessity for me!
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask – I was drawn to this sleeping mask because it has become very popular on social media and I was dying to know what it smelled like! I am super sensitive to smell so I was hoping that the watermelon wasn’t overpowering and I am happy to report that it is not! This mask applies lightly to the skin and penetrates into the skin overnight to brighten the face. A little bit of this goes a long way and it truly does leave my face feeling soother and brighter, the watermelon smell is also a plus! I could feel a flare up coming on my chin the other night and dabbed some of this on and woke up and my chin was completely clear!
NARS Sheer Glow Foundation – I had been getting sick of my foundation lately and wanted to switch it up. I was at Ulta recently and the sales associate told me about this NARS foundation and how she had been using it and was very happy with the results. I had her try it and a few others on me at the store and ultimately ended up falling in love with it. It’s a bit steep in price (more than I usually spend on a foundation) but the results make it so worth it! I have had so many compliments on my skin lately and I really think it’s due to this foundation and how it smoothes out my skin and makes it glow.
No7 Youthful Replenishing Facial Oil – I recently got a rose quartz face roller and I wanted to get a new face oil to try out with it. This replenishing oil had been recommended to me and although I had never tried No7 before I thought that I would give it a go. Not only has this helped to seriously brighten my skin but it keeps my face super hydrated throughout the day. I use a small amount of this before I apply my face lotion in the morning.
Skin Gym Rose Quartz Face Roller – Face rollers have been all the rage lately but I just recently took the plunge and decided to get one. I have been using mine religiously for about two months now and have become quite obsessed. Since getting mine I have convinced my roommate and some of my friends to get one too because I think it is just that great. Not only does it help products penetrate deeper into my skin but I also love the tension I feel released in my face after using it for a few minutes a day.
