I was at Trader Joe’s about two months ago and I don’t know if I have just been living under a rock or what but I never thought to look there for skincare products. I was walking down the aisle looking for something else when I happened upon the health and beauty section so I decided to pick up five products that looked the most interesting! All of these products are under $10.00 and I have been trying them out so that I can share my thoughts with you! I know right now more than ever a lot of people are trying to budget and this could mean spending less on skincare than normal so I think now is the perfect time for this post!
The product I was most excited about trying is the Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer. This one has aloe & green tea extract and has a super nice gel consistency. I think that this is a great moisturizer for in the morning under makeup (since it isn’t super greasy) or for in the summer months when I am looking for something that feels almost cooling when applied to my face! It’s unscented so for those of you who don’t like fragrance in your skincare products that is a plus! This one sells for $8.99!
Next is the Blueberry & Acai Facial Scrub. Acai bowls have been a huge hit lately and they really nailed it on the head if that is what they were going for because when I put this on my face I felt like I was swimming in a parfait or acai bowl. It is very fragrant and smells just like the name says it will so if you are not a fan of fruity smelling products on your face then this one is probably a no for you. I do like the scrubby exfoliants inside and the consistency of the product but the smell was a bit too much for me to handle. This one comes in right in the middle at $5.99.
The Rose Water Facial Toner is super hydrating and refreshing and is nice right when I get out of the shower/wash my face or if I have time in the middle of the day as a sort of pick me up. I really like the smell of rose so this one is a win for me! The best part this one is only $3.99!
The Rose Facial Oil is pumped full of different oils that make this perfect for my super dry skin. There is sunflower oil, macadamia nut oil, and kukui oil (I had never heard of this one before) and they all work together and work wonders for my face! This one is $5.99 and worth every penny!
The last product I got is the Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum. I would rate this one as okay in the world of HA products but it wasn’t anything super special, however for the price I think it is a good buy. I use the Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid which I would say for me is a better option for a similar price point. I just like the consistency of The Ordinary one as it is a bit thinner and I like how it applies on my face and that it doesn’t leave a super sticky after-feel! This one comes in at $9.00.
There are a lot of other products besides this that I am looking forward to purchasing and trying over the next few months. Do you have any of the Trader Joe’s products? If so let me know which ones you love and which ones you would suggest not to get!
